Can I Use AI To Write an Essay?

HyperWrite is an AI-powered writing assistant specifically designed to help writers be more productive and efficient with their writing. Here’s how its features can help students, professionals, and hobbyists write great essays in a short amount of time.

The short answer is; yes, you absolutely can. You can use it for ideation, research, and writing all in the same tool.

Generative AI has been around for quite some time now. And it’s definitely come a long way from anatomically incorrect human illustrations and robotic-sounding chat logs. But despite AI’s progress, there are a few still skeptical about its abilities–specifically its ability to write content at a human level.

You can use HyperWrite–an AI writing assistant to help churn out blogs, social media posts, articles, tech guides, and even odd listicles in a matter of seconds.

And I can say, with 100% certainty, that AI isn’t taking over the game yet. It’s just making it easier, which is great!

What used to take me a day to accomplish now takes me a handful of hours, max. All with AI’s help. Let me give you a few suggestions on how it can assist you too.

Explain Complex Concepts or Topics

  • Explain Like I’m 5. This is one of my favorite tools to use if I’m writing an essay on technical, scientific, or complicated topics that are well above my scope of knowledge.

HyperWrite’s Explain Like I’m 5 feature breaks down complex concepts and explains them to the user using simple terms and descriptive language. From quantum physics to LLMOPs, multi-behavioralism to black holes, you can ask HyperWrite anything. And it will do its best to help you understand the basics of it.

It identifies the fundamental parts of the topic, matches it to relevant analogies, and then describes it using words and concepts that even a five-year-old can understand.

If needed, it will even include visual aids or illustrations!

If I’m writing about something I know nothing (or very little) about, I have HyperWrite explain it to me before I dive into research. This way, I at least understand how the information I find relates to the topic.

  • Text Summarizer. When I’m dealing with lengthy references and 300-page research papers, HyperWrite is my literal savior. The Text Summarizer tool does exactly what its name suggests. It analyzes, understands, and then generates a summary of any content you feed it.

You can either paste the text into the input field or direct the program to a link. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a book chapter, a full webpage, or an academic journal.

The Text Summarizer will read it and generate a summary detailing the main idea, the supporting topics, and the overall structure of the content.

In seconds.

I also use it when I’m having trouble condensing my notes into a cohesive paragraph or two. It saves my word count limit and makes my piece much easier to read and understand.

  • Expert Question Answering. I don’t use this feature too often as I normally get enough information from the AI Search Engine (which I’ll explain in a minute). But if I ever need to phrase an answer like an expert to boost my authority, it can be pretty handy to utilize.

Unlike the Explain Like I’m 5 feature, the response I get from here isn’t suited for a five-year-old. It’s eloquent, detailed, and well-crafted. And it often comes with supporting references.

This is a great tool to use if you’re presenting yourself as an expert on the topic and want to provide more nuanced commentary.

Research & Gather Resources

  • AI Search Engine. I actually prefer HyperWrite’s AI Search Engine to Google right now. And I’ll show you why.

Here’s what Google gives me if I input the following search query: “what can regular human beings do to fight global warming?”

Now look at what HyperWrite gives me if I enter the same thing:

Since I typically only have a handful of hours to write a full-length, high-quality essay, I don’t have much time to open tab after tab from Google’s SERP. Let alone carefully read through the pages to find the information I need.

Research already takes up a significant chunk of my writing process. Anything I can do to speed up the process significantly, I’ll do in a heartbeat.

That’s where HyperWrite’s AI Search Engine comes in. It finds, collects, and organizes all the info I need in seconds. It answers my question, provides references for the answers, and even links them for me to check. I can just request more sources if the current ones don’t feel sufficient. If I need to verify or clarify certain data, I can just visit the provided links.

Everything is curated, condensed, and put into one place, eliminating a lot of the bluster that usually accompanies manual research.

Google’s great for supplemental research, of course, and I’ll still use it if I have time to do a deep dive so that I’m thoroughly versed on the topic. But search engine optimization tactics often make it difficult to find credible, high-quality sources within the first few results. And the meta descriptions on the SERP don’t really give me a succinct summary of what I can find on the page.

So for the sake of time and quality, I depend largely on HyperWrite for my research.

  • Scholar AI. If you’re looking for a tool that needs to get you things in a more research-heavy and technical way, this one is for you.

The Scholar AI tool specializes in finding peer-reviewed articles, journals, and scientific papers. Much like the AI Search Engine, you just need to input a search query or topic that you need more information on. HyperWrite will then pull up relevant (and credible) academic sources. They’ll also be curated, linked, and organized for easy review.

Create an Outline & Draft

  • Flexible Autowrite Tool. Once I have all my notes and sources from research, I use AI to generate an outline. It’s quicker and easier for me to just edit the outline as needed (instead of building it from scratch). Nine times out of ten, HyperWrite is able to condense the information I give it into a solid outline that only needs a few minor tweaks.

I use their Flexible AutoWrite tool for this. It helps me accomplish any writing task with minimal instructions and specifications. And since I’m pretty bad at writing prompts (especially with ChatGPT), this plug-and-play aspect is extremely useful.

I just click on the tool and ask HyperWrite to write an essay outline incorporating the data I have. Sometimes I’ll specify the required essay length. Other times, I’ll just leave the program to do its magic.

A few seconds later, I have a fully detailed content outline that covers every topic I want to hit.

  • SEO-Friendly Blog Post Writer. If I’m having trouble filling in the outline (aka a really, really bad bout of writer’s block), I use HyperWrite’s SEO-Friendly Blog Post Writer to help me out. It is, as the name suggests, a tool you can use to generate a full-length blog post based on a topic and its related keywords.

Do note that I do not use this to write the final draft. I still prefer writing the majority of my content. I simply use HyperWrite to give me a starting point or rough foundation that I can build off of.

I can keep the essay outline HyperWrite generates for me as is. But whatever SEO blog post it writes, I end up rewriting 85% to 95% of it (especially if there are too many repeated keywords). It’s just a good way to get the creative juices flowing.

Edit, Rewrite, and Refine Finished Product

  • Expert Writing Assistant. Before I submit my finished work, I like to leave it alone for a day or two. That way, when I come back to read and edit it, I’m looking at it with a fresh pair of eyes. This helps me find the errors, the awkward phrases, and all other areas that might need some work.

But if I don’t have the time to do that (say the essay’s due the next day), I use HyperWrite’s Expert Writing Assistant to clean up my final draft. It’s a tool that’s specifically designed for writing expert content. It can refine an essay, give writing advice, detect potential plagiarism, and more.

It’s like the Flexible AutoWrite tool, only it’s more focused on improvement and feedback. Flexible AutoWrite is like a generative AI platform. The Expert Writing Assistant is like a 24/7 editor who responds immediately.

  • Rewrite Content Tool. This happens pretty frequently to me. I’m happy with the meat of my essay and I think it’s as polished as possible. However, there are one or two sections that don’t sound right or feel as refined as the rest.

And, try as I might, I can’t figure out how to improve them (even with HyperWrite’s Expert Writing Assistant).

So I have the Rewrite Content tool generate a couple of variations. It does exactly what the name suggests: it rewrites linked or pasted content according to the specifications set by the user.

You can ask the AI to make the content more engaging, more technical, more formal, more casual, and so on. It keeps the message and meaning of the original text but changes the content enough that it reads like a different piece.

It does this in seconds, too. So I usually ask it for four or five variations of the sections I’m not happy with then compare all versions. This makes for a more efficient editing process since I don’t have to spend literal hours rewriting the same paragraph several times.

Use HyperWrite to Quickly & Efficiently Craft a High-Quality Essay

We humans still handle the creativity department when we write, but now we have an assistant. When we write, we have our own unique tones, styles, and voices that AI is still trying to replicate. But for the time being, we can at least make the writing process easier for ourselves by delegating the technical aspects to AI assistants like HyperWrite.

Just creating textual content is difficult enough as it is. Why spend extra hours researching, reading, note-taking, organizing, and rewriting (multiple times) when there are tools literally designed to do that for us?

It’s about working smarter, after all. Not harder.
